SLA conference is here! I'll be attending sessions on Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesday so it will make for quite a busy week coming up.
My Contributed Paper is also online and available here.
My schedule looks something like this:
Saturday: How to Become a Federal Librarian
Sunday: Exhibits and Colin Powell's opening keynote
Tuesday: SLA Contributed Papers session...where I'll be presenting followed by a special "Food for Thought" luncheon at the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History and behind the scenes tour of Smithsonian digitization efforts. If I can keep the momentum going I hope to attend the Mid-Atlantic Chapters reception for the free drink, tarot card reading, and fun networking atmosphere.
Wednesday: Mary Ellen Bates' session on "Beating the Pants off Google" followed by another trip to the exhibits, the closing session, and finish off the conference with a DC Chapter Young Professionals Happy Hour!
You can also follow all my conference thoughts on Twitter!
